Omar Pinto

It’s Omar’s Birthday Episode! 15 Years of Sobriety! – Omar Pinto – Cocaine Addiction, Losing it All, Recovery Podcasting and Service

Welcome to ODAAT Chat. My name is Arlina and I’ll be your host. If you’re wondering what ODAAT means, it’s an abbreviation for “one day at a time”.

This is a podcast where my guests and I talk about their stories, what happened, what it was like and what life is like now.

Through these conversations, I’m looking to uncover the new ideas, changes in perspective, and the daily habits or routines that lead to healing & long term recovery.

Before I jump into the overview of today’s podcast, I did want to let you know about a workbook I just bought called “The Desire Map, A guide to creating goals with soul” by Danielle LaPorte. Its a beautiful book too, I’m a sucker for pretty packaging, but the topics and exercises are designed to help you ask better questions so you get better answers that guide you to new and happier places. Here’s my affiliate link to buy the workbook: http://bit.ly/JuneWorkbook

This book will be the first of a brand new series called “One Step Beyond” a group you can access through my Patreon site for just $5 per month and the book study will start June 1st. It will likely be an intimate group since its the first, which will probably feel safer for those who don’t like big groups.

This series is for people who are looking to incorporate other healing practices into their recovery experience. In my experience over the 24 years I have been sober, the biggest “Ah ha moments” come when people are sharing in a safe and positive group. I hope to see you there! So, this is a very special episode, as today, May 26th is Omar Pinto’s 15 year sobriety anniversary date! Omar is the host of the The Shair Podcast with over 1.2M downloads! Today, Omar shares his story of addiction and recovery and he’s hilarious! He is the only guy I know who gained weight as a cocaine addict.

Fair warning, I’m a bit of a fangirl, so I geeked out a little. This is a wide ranging conversation and its a long one, so feel like you have to listen to it all in one sitting, but it’s definitely worth listening to the end.

Peace & Love,

Arlina
