When The Obsession To Drink Returns

Have you ever struggled with thoughts of drinking after a long period of sobriety? It’s probably more common than you think, but people rarely talk about it.

Today is a special episode. It’s really a raw, unedited coaching call with one of the members of my private women’s group. Kim is someone who has been sober for over 2 years, but has recently been struggling with thoughts of drinking again.

She was brave enough to be honest about how she was feeling with me and we decided to record this conversation in hopes that it would benefit others who might be feeling the same way.

We talk about what is causing her to want to drink again and some solutions that she can try.

I’m treating this as an experiment, and if I get positive reviews on Apple podcast, or DM’s on social media, then I will do more of these. If you would like to sign up for an anonymous coaching call, you can send a request by emailing me at arlina@soberlifeschool.com.

Just a heads up, the conversation begins with Kim and I just kind of jumping into it. This is the first episode of this type so we decided to just let it unfold. And with that, please enjoy this episode, and let me know what you think!

  1. This was one of the best episodes. Thank you. I got so much out of this. I have struggled myself after being sober for a similar period of time, except I went back to drinking.
I’m sober now and can see how much this episode would have benefited me back then.
Please have more of these. Thank you
